After working with Red Bull on multiple Disco Dining Club events they contacted me to create the "barscape" for the opening event of The Red Bull Music Academy featuring San Cha at The Vibiana in DTLA. One part Telanovela wedding, one part mariachi, 100% only in LA. - I was greeted by over 30 feet of aluminum, a bar made for the sandy beaches of Daytona Florida Spring Break. Needless to say, a trip to the garment, flower and religious iconography districts were just what the doctor ordered to get this beast made up like a proper virgin on her wedding day. Taking cues from the artist San Cha, I created a 15 foot tall upside down flower arrangement replete with silk flowers, peacock feathers an upside down urn, palm fronds and 3 foot tall Virgin of Guadalupe...The Wreather knocked this one out of the park.
